Meg Rye
I’m Meg Rye, founder of Good Maven, a coach and recruiter for designers around the world for the past 20 years.
My experience
I was Meta’s first international design recruiter, where I grew the team from 4 to 700 designers and artists across 13 countries.
I’ve built teams, hiring processes, and recruitment programs for companies including Instagram, WhatsApp, Meta Reality Labs, Havas, eBay, Siemens, Sanity, n8n, Publicis Sapient, Comcast, and major cultural institutions.
As an ICF-certified coach with a background in the arts and over 10,000 hours of coaching and recruiting experience with international companies and clients, I bring a rare mix of deep industry insight, practical hiring expertise, and human-centered coaching.
I am a British American who spent the first part of my life in the US, and the last 11 years in the UK.
Why I coach
Twenty years ago, I had just finished art school and earned my BFA. One of the most important things I learned during art school, more than making art, was that I derived so much energy from connecting with people, connecting people with art, and connecting people with each other. What gives me joy is meeting people from all over the world and walking alongside them on their career journey, both through challenges and cheering them on in their successes.
What I’m best at
Clarifying your career narrative so you can articulate your value with precision and stand out in a crowded market.
Mapping your job search strategically and activating your network with intention.
