Principal Product Designer

Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Work style: Full time; hybrid 3 days per week in a beautiful centrally located office (typically Tuesday–Thursday)
Package: Base salary range = 1,253,559 – 2,377,239 CZK (approx $60,656 — $115,028) plus bonus and equity

We are hiring a Principal or Staff level User Interface Designer to join a global consumer technology organisation working on consumer digital safety and trust experiences used by millions of people worldwide. Prior experience in security or privacy is not required. This role does require consumer-grade visual and interaction quality, even when applied to complex or traditionally B2B-style problem spaces. A portfolio demonstrating this work is required as part of the application process.

This role sits within a flat design organisation, where Directors lead small, high-impact teams of senior individual contributors across Product Design and Content Design. Designers are embedded end to end in product development and work across mobile, native, and web experiences. You’ll be part of a large, global tech company while working in small, empowered teams, tackling problems that genuinely matter to people.

Team & Portfolio Alignment

There are multiple roles open on this team. You will be matched to a portfolio based on your interests and strengths, for example:

  • Privacy and digital trust

  • Consumer security and authentication

The product space spans emerging, often intangible threats, where customer needs are not always explicit and solutions are rarely “by the book”.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end product flows, from early concept through solution framing to spec-ready handoff.

  • Tackle ambiguous, evolving problem spaces where threats and user needs are still forming.

  • Push design quality forward while navigating real-world technical and ecosystem constraints.

  • Partner closely with engineering to find “what’s possible” paths within complex platforms and walled gardens.

  • Balance customer value, feasibility, and business priorities through strong product judgement.

  • Raise the craft bar through interaction quality, visual refinement, and principled decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong product thinking: customer problem to solution framing and prioritisation

  • Full-stack design execution: concepting, interaction design, and spec-ready deliverables

  • High craft standards: ability to distinguish good from great and defend design decisions

  • Comfortable operating without perfect process or resourcing; pragmatic, low-ego, and hands-on

  • Willingness to fill gaps when needed (for example, lightweight research or exploration support)

Please note: If you apply directly through the company’s website, we will not be able to represent you for this role.
